Eulogies Flow for the Reiners as Autopsy Reports Face a Security Hold.

Well beyond 14 days after the tragic deaths of esteemed film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community continue to honor the duo.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Sharing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, stated he only now felt ready to post publicly about his personal sorrow.

"Adequate time has gone by that I can at last articulate my loss into words," wrote Elwes, adding that his initial encounter with Reiner left him smitten. "When we commenced sharing more moments together I understood this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor shared never-before-seen clips from the movie, adding that he doesn't recollect "a single day without mirth".

"The film is about affection, allegiance and giving. Things that Rob valued immensely. That is part of the many reasons he was the ideal person to direct it," Elwes wrote.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, noting: "To say that they were a great team would be an understatement. My heart still aches every time I remember you." He finished with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Friend and Collaborator

In a separate piece, legendary director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved being with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the protagonist.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked seamlessly with everyone, and he grasped the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese wrote.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Sealed

In a new development, a Los Angeles superior court judge decided to bar the publication of the Reiners' autopsy reports, at the request from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A judicial mandate put a security hold on the investigation to restrict the public release of "related notes, evidence and photographs" pertaining to the active case.

The Medical Examiner's office had already determined their deaths were the consequence of homicide, with a official listing noting the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Aftermath and Reactions

In the wake of the killings, public figures shared different responses.

Ex-President Donald Trump commented on the matter, offering controversial remarks that were widely condemned by many public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his perspective to the detractors last week. Conversing on his podcast, Rogan labeled the remarks as "disturbing" and implied they demonstrated a troubling absence of compassion.

Rogan finished by suggesting that an adviser ought to have stepped in when the decision to speak on the passing was made.
